We are a family owned business, currently located in West Auckland's Waitakere City - New Zealand, owners Stephen & Daria Hanham

Stephen is a 4th generation "Kiwi", born in Waitakere. His British great-grandparents moved to the "Land of the Long White Cloud" late 1800s, and his grand-family used to own farm land & orchards around Te Atatu South - now all residential developments still bearing their family legacy: Sherwood Park & Sherwood Road.  Stephen has an extensive background in Management (HR, multi-site retail management) spanning over 15 years. Still a big kid at heart, enjoying a good challenge anytime, he is also hooked on everything that's new in the consumer electronics & technology field, taking a lot of pleasure in creating bits and pieces of controlled animatronics on our course.

Daria is the "Vampyre" in our Clan - moved to NZ from Transylvania(Romania) in 2001. Like any respectable "300 years old" she is an educated Uni-graduate (BCom), who doesn't care much about all things new & shiny, prefers Dusk over Dawn, likes to collect old & weathered things who could tell an interesting life-story if they could talk!

We jumped "into the deep pool of creation" and tried a new concept: glow-in-the-dark minigolf,  starting with a 12 Hole Indoor course in an area that experienced a big population & economic growth, but also lacked a diversity on the indoor entertainment options: Waitakere City of West Auckland. Putting together ideas, concepts and very long hours of hard work, with the help of some very talented friends & associates, "Transylvania- A Different World" was born - a very unique, gothic themed Indoor Minigolf: a bit dark, a bit glowy, a bit spooky - alltogether, a bit of a different fun way to play minigolf! 

With a popular Gothic & Fantasy themed giftshop on site, a little 9-Hole mini-putt outdoors, room to sit down after a game for a freshly brewed espresso coffee " with a bite", private Birthday/ Group parties room - needless to say "Transylvania- A Different World"  is a great place to spend some time with friends, family and colleagues - and learn more about Transylvania and its legends from the "Vampyr's mouth" so to speak! :-)

"This is Transylvania, nestled between the rugged Carpathian Mountains in the central-NW part of Romania, in Eastern Europe. YES, it is a real place - a place of stunning scenery, wild mountain rivers & explorers caves; where night owls watch over the spirits of the ancient forests, where brown bears, wolves and wild deer run free; a place where one can find Roman ruins, haunted old castles and medieval towns where one can spot the Bats descending from the bellfrys at dawn, where old-world meets modern, and friendly people greet you along your travels; a land rich with history, mistique and legends (the most (in)famous horror masterpiece "Dracula" by Bram Stoker adding to it all, by introducing Transylvania to the world as the land of Vampires and other creatures of the night!)...and not to forget: a place where one can still find deeply rooted traditions passed along generations and a natural way of living:  villages grow their own organic sourced foods, and small farmers markets are exactly that: small farmers organic grown veggies, fruits, milk products and meat markets!
